Rod June
CIO; Los Angeles City Employee Retirement System (LACERS)
Mr. Rodney June is LACERS’ Chief Investment Officer. His responsibilities include: managing investment advisory, general partnerships, consultant and custodian relationships, performance evaluation, vendor selection, investment policy, investment strategy development and implementation. Mr. June’s appointment marks his return to LACERS where he previously served as an Investment Officer II from 1998 to 2008. From 2008 until his return to LACERS, Mr. June was the Chief Investment Officer of the State of Hawaii Employees’ Retirement System overseeing an $11 billion portfolio. Mr. June has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Auburn University. His bachelor’s degree is from California State University, Long Beach, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Kenyatta Matheny
Chief Investment Officer; Equitrust
Kenn is the Chief Investment Officer of EquiTrust and oversees the investment portfolio. Mr. Matheny joined EquiTrust in 2016. Kenn previously served as the Senior Investment Officer at the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS). Prior to TRS, Mr. Matheny was a Senior Vice President at Associated Banc-Corp. Early in his career, he received leveraged finance and capital markets training at Heller Financial/GE Capital and also worked for Franklin Street Equity Partners. Kenn has also been active in public service, having previously served on the Board of the Sue Duncan Foundation and the YMCA. He received a B.S. in Public Finance and Economics from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business where he was awarded the Robert A. Toigo Fellowship.

Chris Herrera
Chief Deputy Treasurer; County of San Diego
Chris is the Chief Deputy Treasurer for the County of San Diego where he is responsible for managing the Treasury and Investment Division. Prior to joining the County in 2023, Chris spent the previous 24 years in San Diego managing global equity investments on behalf of institutional clients. Prior to working in the public sector, he was a portfolio manager at Frontier Global Partners and Allianz Global Investors. In these roles, Chris managed investments in frontier and developed international equity markets. He is also a co-founder of Public Square Coffee in La Mesa, CA and a member of the Board of Trustees for Academy of Our Lady of Peace. Chris holds a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. While completing his MBA, Chris was a Robert Toigo Foundation fellow and a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management fellow.

Kelli P. Washington
Chief Investment Officer; The California Endowment
Kelli P. Washington joined The California Endowment as its Chief Investment Officer in late 2024. As CIO, she manages the foundation’s $4 billion endowment, investment portfolio, and investment staff. Before joining The Endowment, Kelli served as the Managing Director of Investment Strategy and Research at the Cleveland Clinic. In that role, which she held since 2017, she was primarily responsible for monitoring portfolio asset allocation policies, maintaining the macroeconomic research function, and collaborating with the CIO on research that directs tactical asset allocation, investment decisions, and hedging strategies for approximately $15.0 billion in assets across four investment pools. Kelli has also served as Managing Director of Investments with Cambridge Associates, an endowment officer at Bowdoin College, and in multiple investing roles with Edward Jones in St. Louis. Kelli is a Board Member of the Washington University (in St. Louis) Investment Management Company and the Robert Toigo Foundation. In 2021, Institutional Investor named Kelli a “Rising Star” as well as one of the “Top 50 Women in Investment Management,” and the Olin School of Business at Washington University selected Kelli as one of its “Distinguished Alumni.” In 2019, she was included on the CIO Magazine “NextGens” List and Institutional Investor’s “Most Wanted Allocators First Team.” Kelli is a CFA Charterholder; she is an Alumna of the Robert Toigo Foundation fellowship program. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.

Tarrus Richardson
Trustee; Maryland State Retirement and Pension System
Tarrus Richardson is a Trustee for the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System. Mr. Richardson is also the Founder and CEO of IMB Partners which was started in 2010. He has 25 years of private equity experience, has invested over $500 million of capital and completed over 20 platform buyouts and add-on acquisitions. Prior to IMB, Tarrus co-founded ICV Partners, a $440 million minority-owned private equity firm from 1998-2010 and worked at JLL Partners, a private equity firm with over $2 billion of AUM, and Citibank (formerly Salomon Brothers). Tarrus is the founder of the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP), a top leadership development and networking organization based in New York and Los Angeles and a founding board chair of All Star Code, a leading non-profit focused on helping boys of color code. Mr. Richardson received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Toigo Fellow. As a passionate alumnus and former member of the Toigo Board of Directors, Tarrus has contributed in many ways to the organization. In fact, it was his genius that launched the idea for the annual foundation Gala more than 15 years ago; participating every year as a sponsor.

Edward Lewis
Senior Managing Director of Real Return Investments; UTIMCO
Edward serves as Senior Managing Director of Real Return Investments for UTIMCO where he oversees the endowments’ real estate and infrastructure portfolios. Edward is directly responsible for leading a team dedicated to sourcing and managing new and existing real estate, oil and gas, and infrastructure investments on a global basis. Edward is a member of the Internal Investment Committee, the Co-Investment Committee, and the Leadership Team. In addition, Edward serves on the Advisory Board of the Texas A&M University Master of Science in Finance program, Governing Board of the Robert Toigo Foundation, Board of Trustees for Saint Andrew's Episcopal School of Austin, and Executive Council of the Real Estate Center at the University of Texas. He is also a guest profession at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining UTIMCO, Edward worked at Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) in the Chicago and London offices where he focused on real estate advisory, valuation, and transaction services for real estate assets. Edward began his career as a civil engineer working on commercial and residential real estate development projects. Edward received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
